Avengers Movie Fic Recs
Unless otherwise noted as “(read)”, I haven’t read any of these yet. Thank you to my friends, Chandler, Liane, Julie, and Brooke for reccing these fics. I’ll summarize the one’s I know enough about/have the time to research.
SUPERHUSBANDS Tony/Steve:
Secrets of a Successful Marriage: (read) M This one’s kind of in comic verse, but anyone can follow the story. It’s plot and the action are written fantastically. Basically, Tony is a super villain, yet he’s married to Steve.
The Last Love Song of Anthony E. Stark: M Tony has an Asgardian STD. This sounds funny. It’s not. The disease causes Tony to lose his memory. He goes on an adventure with Steve, Loki, and Sif to find the cure.
It should follow, you know this (like the panels on a comic strip): Mostly gen.
Ready, Fire, Aim: M Very popular and highly reviewed.
And Begin Again Tomorrow: T Angsty feels about Tony’s arc reactor.
Truth, Lies, and the Tipping Point: T Argument between the team.
Science Boyfriends Tony/Bruce:
A Box Step Suite: M There’s dancing. Need I say more?
Five Times Synaesthesia Was a Problem for Tony Stark: T Tony struggles to deal with synaesthesia, which is the source of his genius status.
Gen:
Truthfully: T Loki decides to live a fun domestic life rather than weaking havoc on earth.
On the Road: (read) This one is mediocre next to the Sherlock fic it’s based on, yet it’s still enjoyable. The Avengers go on a road trip. Results are much softer than a Kerouac road trip despite the title.
Fifteen Short Stories About Teamwork: T Just what the title says it is.
Luceat: Coulson feels abound.
