- M/F OTP: gosh I’m not entirely sure I have one. It WAS Gwen/Lancelot but that’s gone all to shit. ACTUALLY OKAY NO it has no basis in canon but Gwaine/Vivian! They would be perfect. WHO ELSE COULD BREAK THE LOVE SPELL BUT GWAINE AND HIS PERFECT HAIR? He’s all secretly nobility so Vivian would have to get over her stupid shallow shit not because she loves a pauper but because Gwaine would ‘splain to her the problems inherent in the ~system~ but they would be so pretty together and snarky and demanding and YAY
- M/M OTP: Arthur/Merlin, I mean I’m pretty much a multishipper in almost everything I get into but at this point if it’s not Arthur/Merlin (or those two plus extras) I am just so put out. I think that they are ACTUALLY an OTP for me, which is a weird thing I tell you what!
- F/F OTP: IGRAINE/NIMUEH. There’s some fic here and there for it but none of it has really pushed my buttons. That being said I have the most DETAILED headcanon for it, holy crapsicles. Poor Uther and his lesbian wifey. “Oh Nimueh is visiting again? Have fun on that sunset picnic you two! Oh, you’ll be out until dawn? Okay! I’ll just be here, on my throne… chilling… Have a good time! Gosh they are just the best of friends, aren’t they Gaius?”
- OT3: Gwen/Arthur/Merlin: SOLVES ALL THE PROBLEMS. Okay not AAALLLL of them? But I just have a lot of feelings about Gwen and how she has a role that she’s not fulfilling and how Merlin and Gwen both love Arthur so much in their own stupid ways and how Arthur loves THEM in his OWN stupid ways and how Merlin and Gwen could have been SO GREAT as besties with benefits if only there were more HONESTY and also man who wouldn’t wanna be a part of THAT sammich amirite
- BROTP: Gosh just everyone. ALL THE KNIGHTS TOGETHER IN A BIG BRO PILE. But I guess also Gaius & Merlin! I don’t know if you qualify it as “bro”? But I like it when they are more friends than parent/child; when Gaius treats Merlin with respect and bemusement instead of paternalistic stupidness because HELLO, DENYING YOURSELF ARGH. It gets to me. But I love love LOVE when Gaius helps Merlin out in his adventures and when Merlin gets all up in Gaius’s business and as cheesy as it is, I *do* like it when they end an episode with Gaius and Merlin laughing over dinner. It’s comforting.
- Favorite Canon: Does Gwen/Lancelot count as canon these days? Actually no, I really DID like Merlin/Freya. It just hurt a lot when it went to shit SO FAST, you know? Also I like Arthur/Gwen WAY more than damn near any other Arthur/Merlin shipper I know. Arthur is so in love! Gwen is so exasperated! It’s so cute! Doomed, but cute.
- Favorite Crack: TREETHUR. GWAPPLE. SIMPLETON/DRAGOON. what? shut up.
- Guilty Pleasure: Female!Arthur/Male!Merlin. Oh my god. Genderswap Arthur is just… hnnnnnnggggg… with masculine Merlin? And he’s all a ~servant~ and she’s all a ~princess~ but she still likes swords and is all haughty and righteous and demanding and he’s all in love but cant handle her crazitude and they DO IT LIKE A MILLION TIMES A DAY. AND SHE HAS HIS BABIES AND SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UP SELF. augh i feel so bad about it but I even love reading really awful cheesy MARRIAGE fic about it. BARF BARF BARF. I bet if Merlin called her “baby” I WOULDN’T EVEN FLINCH.

HateDon’t Understand: gosh idk I dont hate or not understand almost any ship in Merlin. Everyone’s gorgeous, and there’s loads of incest in the original legends, and everyone bones everyone… so it’s not like there’s no basis of logic for any of them… I mean I guess I don’t really understand the appeal of Lancelot/Leon? Because they are kiiiiiiiind of the same character, a little tiny bit?? But I mean… HOT! I also don’t enjoy Arthur/Morgana, but that’s totally reasonable to ship since the UST is absolutely there AND it’s practically myth!canon… Oh, oh! I HATE MORGANA/AGRAVAINE. gross. Super gross. Ew. There you go.
