yes.
The Adventures of Pete and PeteReunited for the first time ever, it’s Pete, Pete’s brother Pete, Ellen, Mom, Dad and Artie the Strongest Man in the World. Join the cast and the show’s creators for an evening of obsessive reminiscing about all things Pete. There will be a cast and crew panel discussion, an audience Q and A, classic clips and episodes, and much more. Don’t be a blowhole! Be there for the Petes’ only New York City appearance.feckers of the east coast. the time is now!
Great goddamn.
Suddenly, my happiness about living in Seattle has been GREATLY DIMINISHED.
Mike Maronna did an AMA Reddit about being Big Pete and somebody asked him what the Orange Lazarus tasted like and he said “Good. Cold.” and i am going to go die now okay bye

Aarti the Strongest Woman in the World
Be prepared to handle anything life throws at you, my little vikings!
(those socks are striped, btw!)
You don’t want to know how much of my meager savings I would spend on an HD release of Pete & Pete.

Almost nothing is cuter than your BFF Pete climbing a tree outside your window in order to find the exact right place from which to call you and ask you out on a Real Date.

6. favorite episode of your favorite tv show.
Big Pete: You swear that you won’t tell.
Ellen: I swear.
Little Pete: What if they dip you in acid?
Ellen: I’ll never tell, Pete, no matter what. Even if they lower me inch by inch into the molten lava of a live volcano.
Big Pete: *horrified face*
The very first episode of Pete & Pete is my favorite! The Valentine’s Day Massacre remains a paragon of perfect television.
Look! There’s a playlist of it on youtube! Hey, everybody, let’s go watch it together!

4. your favorite show ever.
This one kinda threw me for a loop. What is my favorite show ever?? ST:TNG? Stargate? X-Files? Sailor Moon? Red Dwarf? I had a phase where my absolute favorite show ever was Yan Can Cook! But then I really started to look at my favorite shows. What show doesn’t have a single episode I dislike? What show gets better with every repeated viewing? What shows have I had a near-lifelong loyalty to and identification with?
The Adventures of Pete & Pete.
Even if you don’t “get” the show’s humor (for which you should be shot) you can appreciate the remarkably beautiful cinematography for a low budget Nickelodeon show, the cleverness of the character creation, its internal continuity, and its taste-forming, period-defining musical tracks. Pete & Pete not only gave us Artie, the strongest man… in the world! but also a thousand other memorable characters. It established the idea, in my head, of magical realism. Its humor and wisdom continue to reverberate in my head to this day. And maybe most importantly to me, it gave me a lifelong thing for redheads.

Big Pete from the Valentine’s Day Massacre
Just playing around with low quality screencap perfection. I picked a subject I can stare at, endlessly.
