Hahhaha, I LOVE that people are all about the racial outrage. Do you know what was my one and onl thought while picking the colors for Sokka and Katara? Well that’s BEIGE. People are beige, right?
i hear tell that they are beige, yes. Evidently though recall that whole last airbender movie? and the POINTLESSLY WHITE cast? And how that was just NOT ACCEPTABLE and a rightly-deserved furor rumbled up in the fandom and spilled out the sides? So yeah. Avatar people are hyper aware of depictions of race.
As far as I’m concerned though skin tone is really subjective when you’re coloring cartoony stuff really fast like you were doing.
Clearly you just need to draw Sokka broing it up with Zuko and make Zuko wicked pale in comparison. Zuko could be disparaging Sokka’s mustache!
